POSC 350: World Politics in the 21st Century (Adjunct: Valerio Lintner)
The goal of the course is to acquaint you some of the major issues in debates about contemporary international politics and help you begin to develop analytical tools to reach your own reasoned conclusions about them. We begin by overviewing conceptualization of the world order by major models of international relations and analyzing conflicting interpretations of the post-Cold War international system. We continue by focusing on debates about dynamics of unipolarity.  We will then consider some of the key factors affecting the future of world order such as managing the rise of great powers like China, relative decline of American power and influence in international politics, nuclear proliferation and growing disagreements about the rules/ norms of international order.

British Life and Cultures (AIFS: Adjunct Nicole D’Adamo)

Students are encouraged to make informed, critical comparisons between what they observe and learn about British society and their home culture and society. As part of the course students are introduced to key cultural and historical sites in London and encouraged to visit additional sites independently and to view such in an informed and critical way.
