Dr. Ángeles Sancho-Velázquez
Professor Ángeles Sancho-Velázquez, is Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Studies at CSUF, where she teaches courses in arts and humanities. She received her Ph.D. from UCLA in 2001. Her teaching and research interests cross disciplinary boundaries and focus on the ways the arts contribute to create, challenge, and make sense of the world we live in. She has explored these interests in a number of publications that include articles on cross-cultural aesthetics, on the history of improvisation in classical music, and a recently published collection of poems. Dr. Sancho-Velázquez has enjoyed teaching in two CSUF Study Abroad programs in Spain, her country of origin. She has visited London multiple times and is excited about the opportunity of sharing with students her enthusiasm for one of the greatest art capitals of the world.
